Modelled

  1. Tell students a predetermined sentence with words that are familiar to their reading/writing level. Ideally, this sentence should contain a few uses of a sound or phonic group that the students are focusing on. This sentence could also be taken from a familiar text.

eg. The ducks might get a fright from the fox.

*Assuming the students have recently learnt the 'igh' sound and therefore the sound of focus.
