Grade: 3-4

Connotations

This two part unit will explore connotations and the impact they have upon the messages we convey to our audiences. Students will engage in a synonym sort where they categorise words into negative or positive connotation piles. They will then build upon these skills, working with character voices to alter meaning. These lessons may also be completed as stand alone lessons.
