Neologisms

This unit of work is focused on creating new words, or ‘neologisms’, as a way of developing sophisticated writing. Stage 3 students will explore a number of different ways they can invent words, looking at real world examples and famous writers, as inspiration. At the conclusion of the unit, students should be incorporating neologisms in all aspects of their written work, in order to demonstrate their developing understanding of complex grammar.
