Procedures With Recipes

This unit will explicitly step students through the skill of writing a procedural text for a recipe. The unit uses the text ‘Wombat Stew’ by Marcia Vaughn, and creates the opportunity for students to analyse, read, write and create their own recipes. It also allows for many hands-on, practical activities as well as using art and drama. These lessons can be completed as a stand alone lesson and/or with another text of choice.
