The Power of Poetry

This unit can be used to develop students’ poetry writing skills. They will incorporate writing features explored during the lessons into their own poems. These lessons are easily differentiated due to the open-ended nature of the poems used, and plenty of examples are provided to help you teach them confidently. Students of all writing abilities will experience success as they explore poetic devices from tongue twisters to repetition and rhyme!
